Three Delhi man threw acid on the class 12 student minutes after she left her west Delhi home for school on Wednesday morning. The teen was with her 13-year-old younger sister when the incident took place at Mohan Garden near Uttam Nagar. The incident was caught on a CCTV camera.
New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has written a letter to the CEOs of online shopping sites Amazon and Flipkart on the incident of acid attack on a girl going to school in broad daylight in the Dwarka area of the capital Delhi on Wednesday. DCW writes to CEOs of Amazon and Flipkart regarding acid attack on 17-year-old girl in Dwarka.
DCW issues notice to Amazon, Flipkart
DCW wrote in the letter, “DCW has come to know that the accused has purchased acid through ‘Flipkart’ and acid is easily available on ‘Amazon’ and ‘Flipkart’, which is illegal.” Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has issued a notice to Flipkart in connection with the acid attack on a 17-year-old girl in Dwarka. The accused had bought acid through Flipkart.
On Wednesday (December 14, 2022), a case of throwing acid on a girl student came to light in Delhi’s Dwarka district area. Where at around 9 in the morning a boy had thrown acid on a girl going to school. The injured student was referred to Safdarjung Hospital. DCP Dwarka M. Harshvardhan (DCP Dwarka M. Harshvardhan) had told that the Delhi Police arrested the three accused involved in the incident late in the evening, from whom it was found that Flipkart was used to buy acid.
Delhi Police had told that a PCR call was received at around 9 am on Wednesday in connection with the incident of acid attack on a girl in police station Mohan Garden area. According to the information received by the police, a 17-year-old girl was thrown acid on a 17-year-old girl at around 7:30 am by two bike riders. The girl was with her younger sister when the incident took place. The condition of the victim is bad, acid has gone in both her eyes.
DELHI ACID ATTACK VICTIM CONDITION
The girl has sustained eight per cent burn injuries and is undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospital’s burn ICU.
A doctor at Safdarjung Hospital said, “The girl has suffered eight per cent facial burns and her eyes have also been affected. She has been admitted to the burn ICU and is stable.”
