Delhi acid attack: 17-year-old schoolgirl attacked with acid in Dwarka, victim undergoing treatment | Video

In yet another horrific incident, Two bike-borne boys threw acid on a 17-year-old schoolgirl in Delhi's Dwarka district on Wednesday morning. According to Delhi Police, one person was detained in the case. The victim's father told that the girl's entire face has been burnt with acid, her condition is critical.

New Delhi: In yet another horrific incident, Two bike-borne boys threw acid on a schoolgirl in Delhi’s Dwarka. The incident took place on Wednesday at around 9 am. In a hurry, the student was admitted to a private hospital, but seeing her condition serious, the doctors referred her to Safdarjung Hospital. CCTV footage of the incident has also come to the fore. On the basis of CCTV footage, the police is engaged in the investigation. Police has detained a boy. Both the bike riding boys who threw acid are being told about the introduction of the girl student.

Police said that a PCR call was received at around 9 am in connection with the incident of acid attack on a girl student in PS Mohan Garden area. Told over the phone that at around 7:30 am, two bike-borne boys threw acid on a class 12 girl student. Have given. The student was with her younger sister at the time of the incident. The younger sister told that two bike riding boys are of her acquaintance. One has been detained and further investigation is on. The police is also trying to find out from where the accused had bought the acid.

“My daughters, one aged 17 and the other 13, were out together this morning. Suddenly, two men on a bike threw acid at my elder daughter and drove away. They had covered their faces,” the girl’s father told the media.

On being asked if his daughter had complained about harassment by anyone, her father said, “No, she did not. If she had, I would have accompanied her everywhere. The sisters would travel to school together in Metro.”

On the other hand, Delhi Women’s Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal condemned the incident by tweeting and demanded strict action against the accused. Swati Maliwal wrote, “A schoolgirl was thrown acid on near Dwarka Mod. Our team is reaching the hospital to help the victim. Will get justice for the daughter. The Delhi Commission for Women has been fighting for years to ban acid in the country. When will the governments wake up? Swati Maliwal said that we are issuing notice to Delhi Police and these two boys need to be arrested immediately.
