Delhi: Bodies of two missing children found in box in Jamia Nagar factory; Probe on

New Delhi: The bodies of a brother and sister were found in a wooden box kept in a factory in South East Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area on Tuesday evening. Both the children were missing since three o’clock in the afternoon. Both the children had left the house after eating.

When he was not found for a long time, his search was started. After much searching, both the siblings were found locked in a wooden box. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Case of suffocation
They have been identified as Neeraj (8) and Aarti (6). The DCP of the district said that in the preliminary investigation, no injury marks were found on the bodies of the children. It appears to be a case of accidental suffocation.

Further action will be taken in this matter after the post mortem report of both the children as well as the report of the FSL and crime team that reached the spot for investigation.

Father is watchman in factory
He said that at around 4 pm on Tuesday, the Jamia Nagar Police had received information that bodies of two children had been found in house number F-2, Jogabai Extension. The bodies of both were found in an old wooden box kept. In the investigation, it was found that both the children were the children of Balbir, the watchman of the said factory.

Balbir is originally from Nepal. Balbir lives there with his wife and children. He told the police that the two children had dinner together at around 3 pm on Monday. After this both had gone out to play. After a while, when Balbir left the room, both the children were not seen there.

Even after inquiring with the children around, nothing was found, so he along with his wife started searching for the children. During this, they found the bodies of both the children in a wooden box kept in the factory.

The police officer says that only after the post mortem report comes in the case, it will be known how the two children died. Local people told that the girl box is very old, its door locks automatically after closing. In such a situation, it is quite possible that both the children got locked in the box and then the door got locked.
