Delhi CM Kejriwal’s appeal to PM Modi: Include Photo of Laxmi-Ganesh on currency notes

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal also asked the central government and PM Modi to put a picture of Shri Ganesh and Shri Lakshmi ji along with Mahatma Gandhi on the Indian currency. Kejriwal said, "I appeal to the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put the picture of Shri Ganesh ji and Shri Lakshmi ji along with the picture of Gandhi ji on our new notes."

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal also asked the central government and PM Modi to put a picture of Shri Ganesh and Shri Lakshmi ji along with Mahatma Gandhi on the Indian currency. Kejriwal said, “I appeal to the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put the picture of Shri Ganesh ji and Shri Lakshmi ji along with the picture of Gandhi ji on our new notes.”

CM Kejriwal futher said, “On Indian currency notes…on one side there is the picture of Gandhi Ji…it should remain as it is…if we put a photo of Ganesha Ji and Lakshmi Ji on the other side, the entire country will get their blessings.” We don’t demand old currency should be changed, but new noted may have these images,” he said.

Further he cited example of Indonesia and said, “Indonesia is a Muslim country, 85% of their population is Muslim and only 2% is Hindu. Still, they have a pic of Lord Ganesh on their currency. I think this is an important step that the Central government should take.”

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal made this appeal in a press conference on Wednesday. “I am not saying that doing this will improve the economy of the country, it will take a lot of efforts but the efforts bear results only when we have the blessings of Gods,” Kejriwal said.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief said, “I will write to the Centre tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to appeal for it… we need the almighty’s blessings apart from the efforts to settle the economic condition of the country.”
He also said the AAP was fully prepared for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls and stressed that the people of the national capital would reject the BJP.

While discussing the pollution in the capital Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said that we will make Delhi a city with clean air. The result of our hard work is visible and this time there has been a reduction in Delhi’s pollution. At the same time, on a question asked about the elections of the corporation, he said that the people of Delhi now want that there should be cleanliness around their house and they should get rid of the problems, in such a situation, whenever the elections are held, they will choose us.
