Delhi CM orders magisterial inquiry in Mundka fire case, says “Culprit won’t be spared……”

New Delhi: Many people were killed and several injured in the massive fire tragedy in Mundka. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia visited Mundka fire site today. During his visit, the Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. 50-50 thousand will be given to the injured.

Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday promised to take strict action against those found guilty for a fire in the city’s Mundka, as he arrived to take stock of the situation, along with his deputy, Manish Sisodia.

“I have ordered a Magisterial inquiry In the case today. Those found responsible in the findings will not be spared and stringent action will be taken. Delhi govt will give Compensation of ₹10 lakh to the families of the deceased,” Kejriwal said, after inspecting the fire site.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team continues to carry out a search and rescue operation in the four-story building that was gutted in a massive fire on Friday (May 13) near the Mundka metro station in New Delhi.

Massive fire broke out in a four-storey commercial building in West Delhi’s Mundka on Friday evening. As per the official toll, the fire has so far claimed 29 lives and several were injured. However, the blaze was brought under control, informed the fire officials.
