New Delhi: On Sunday morning, Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely resigns from his post. In his resignation letter addressed to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, he said the Delhi unit of the grand old party was against an alliance with the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
In his resignation letter,he worte,”The Delhi Congress Unit was against an alliance with a Party which was formed on the sole basis of levelling false, fabricated and malafide corruption charges against the Congress Party. Despite that, the Party made a decision to ally with the AAP in Delhi.”
He was appointed as the chief of its Congress Delhi unit, replacing Anil Chaudhary last year. in 2017, he joined the BJP but came back to the Congress fold just months after quitting the grand old party.
