Delhi Congress:In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Congress is gearing up to unveil distinct manifestos tailored for the city and its three parliamentary constituencies. DPCC President Arvinder Singh Lovely disclosed plans to announce candidates for Chandani Chowk, North East Delhi, and North West Delhi seats by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Delhi’s Customized Manifesto Approach

Delhi Congress intends to address local concerns by launching a dedicated manifesto for the city, along with separate manifestos for each of the three parliamentary segments it aims to contest.

Manifesto Highlights

Earlier, the Congress party unveiled its national manifesto, ‘Nyay Patra,’ promising measures such as right to apprenticeship, legal MSP guarantee, and a constitutional amendment to increase reservation caps for SCs, STs, and OBCs.

Congress-AAP Alliance Dynamics

Delhi Congress, allied with AAP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, plans to contest in alliance, with AAP contesting four out of seven seats. The party aims to highlight the BJP’s alleged inaction over the past decade and its failure to initiate significant developmental projects.

Criticism of BJP’s Record

Delhi Congress criticizes BJP MPs for lack of visible achievements and accuses them of taking credit for previous Congress-led government accomplishments. The party emphasizes the need for tangible development initiatives.

Focus on ‘Paanch Nyay’

The Congress manifesto centers around ‘Paanch Nyay’ or five pillars of justice, highlighting ‘Yuva Nyay’, ‘Naari Nyay’, ‘Kisaan Nyay’, ‘Shramik Nyay’, and ‘Hissedari Nyay’. It also pledges a nationwide Socio-Economic and Caste Census and aims to amend the reservation cap for SC, ST, and OBC communities.
