Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has now raised questions on the intention of the Central Government regarding the arrest of Sisodia by the ED. Kejriwal wrote in his tweet, “Manish Sisodia was first arrested by the CBI. CBI did not find any evidence, no money was found in the raid. Tomorrow there is hearing on bail. If Manish was released yesterday, today ED arrested him. They have only one aim – to keep Manish inside at all costs by creating new fake cases every day. The public is watching and the public will answer.”

ED team interrogated Sisodia in Tihar

Significantly, before the arrest, the ED team had interrogated former Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia in Tihar Jail in the Excise Policy case. ED has got permission from the court for 3 days of questioning. Today, the ED had contacted the jail administration for questioning in the jail. On Tuesday too, the ED had questioned Sisodia in the jail.

While Sisodia has been arrested in Delhi’s Excise Policy case, Satyendar Jain is lodged in Tihar Jail since May 30 last year in a money laundering case.

Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, while continuously targeting the BJP-led central government, are counting Sisodia’s contribution when he was the education minister of Delhi. CM Kejriwal tweeted on this issue in the past, targeting PM Modi, “Prime Minister, nothing was found in the raid from Manish Sisodia’s house. He was arrested by applying all sections of CBI, ED. Your party K MLA got so much cash here, he was not arrested? Now don’t you ever talk about fighting corruption. Your mouth doesn’t like it.”
