Delhi Liquor Scam case: Court extends CBI remand by two days, hearing on Manish Sisodia’s bail plea on March 10

At the same time, during the hearing, the CBI’s lawyer argued that Sisodia did not cooperate in the investigation. At the same time, on behalf of Sisodia’s lawyer, the CBI’s application has been opposed. He argues that it is not appropriate for the CBI to seek extension of remand.

Sisodia’s lawyer said that his wife was ill for the last 20 years, so he should be let out on bail.Manish Sisodia was arrested on Sunday after nearly eight hours of questioning in the alleged corruption in preparing and implementing the canceled liquor policy of 2021-22.

On February 27, the court had sent Sisodia to CBI custody so that the CBI could get correct answers to the questions being asked for fair investigation of the case.Manish Sisodia had approached the Supreme Court challenging the arrest, from where he was shocked. After this he resigned from the post of minister. Along with this, Delhi’s Jail and Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who was earlier in jail, had also resigned. The resignations of both the ministers were accepted by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
