Delhi: Man decomposed body stuffed in bag found Punjabi Bagh

New Delhi: An officials said that the body of an unidentified man was found lying abandoned on the footpath of Rohtak Road in Punjabi Bagh on Saturday. They said a call was received at Saturday about an abandoned sack lying near metro pillar number 124 on the Rohtak Road in Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi.

New Delhi: An officials said that the body of an unidentified man was found lying abandoned on the footpath of Rohtak Road in Punjabi Bagh on Saturday. They said a call was received at Saturday about an abandoned sack lying near metro pillar number 124 on the Rohtak Road in Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi.

After reached on the spot, they cut open the bag, revealing a highly mutilated body of an unidentified man inside. A police officer said “Inside the bag, the dead body of an unknown person was found. After inspection by mobile crime team, the body was sent to a hospital.”

Police have sent the body for postmortem and registered a case of murder at Punjabi Bagh police station. the officer said that the body is suspected to be of a woman, but it is yet to be established as the body was highly decomposed.

About this incident,police said that CCTV footage around the area where the body was discovered is being examined. Multiple teams are being formed to work on it, police said. 

Police suspect that the murder may have been committed somewhere else and the body was later placed on the footpath, after which the culprit fled. Police said detailed investigation is underway.
