Delhi MCD Election: AAP gets huge majority in Poll of Exit Polls, BJP may lose after 15 years

The exit polls of both the channels are predicting the poor condition of the Congress party. According to the estimates of both the channels, the Congress is expected to win in 10 or less wards.

New Delhi: In the Poll of Exit Polls of MCD elections, Aam Aadmi Party has been predicted to win effectively. According to the exit polls before the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party seems to be moving towards a big victory.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls 2022 were held on Sunday for 250 municipal wards of the national capital. According to the data provided by the election commission, Delhi recorded around 50 per cent voter turnout.

No major glitches in electronic voting machines were reported and the voting passed off peacefully with high security observed at the 3,360 critical booths in 493 locations where more than 25,000 police personnel, nearly 13,000 home guards and 100 companies of paramilitary forces were deployed

In the exit polls till date, AAP has been told to win 149 to 171 wards out of 250 in the MCD elections. In another exit poll of sources, AAP has been told to get 146 to 156 seats. In sources exit poll, BJP has been predicted to win in 69 to 91 wards, while sources has projected the party to win in 84 to 94 wards.

The exit polls of both the channels are predicting the poor condition of the Congress party. According to the estimates of both the channels, the Congress is expected to win in 10 or less wards. Both exit polls show that others can win 5 to 9 wards. The exit polls’ projections seem to confirm that AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s message of eradicating corruption has impressed voters.

Let me tell you, BJP is in control of MCD since 2007. During the tenure of 15 years, this party has seen the municipal body split into NDMC, SDMC and EDMC (2012-2022). The integration of all the three corporations has been done in the beginning of this year itself.
