A case of assault on girl students by a security guard of a hostel in Delhi's Karol Bagh area has come to light. The incident was caught on CCTV camera, the video of which is going viral on internet media.
NEW DELHI: In yet another horrific incident in Delhi where a case of assault on girl students by a security guard of a hostel in Karol Bagh area has come to light. The incident was caught on CCTV camera, the video of which is going viral on internet media.
The girls can be seen running down the corridor of the hostel while the security guard, who is said to be in a state of intoxication, gropes and drags them. The CCTV footage of the entire incident has gone viral on social media. The incident is of Golds Villa PG located in Karol Bagh area.
The police officer says that on August 13, a PCR call was received regarding the assault by the security guard in the hostel. When the police team reached there, the victim refused to file a complaint. On August 14, the girl who made PCR call vacated the hostel and went home.

The incident is being told on August 13 when the molestation took place. After the incident the victim vacated the PG the next day and the video of the incident went viral on August 16 (Tuesday).
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has demanded action and issued notice to Delhi Police to register an FIR in the matter. DCW said that they have taken suo motu cognizance after a video clip was posted on Twitter.
“The disturbing incident has been reported to the Commission. Immediately register an FIR and arrest the accused. DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal said the brazenness of the Act is discouraging and stern action is needed.
Even after getting information about the incident, the hostel owner did not take any action.
The Delhi Commission for Women has also asked the police to immediately register an FIR and arrest the accused. It has also sought details of the hostel’s registration from the police and action taken report by August 18.
