Apart from Ashwini Upadhyay, Vinod Sharma, Deepak Singh, Deepak, Vineet Kranti, Preet Singh have also been arrested. Preet Singh is the director of Save India Foundation, under whose banner the program was organized at Jantar Mantar on 8 August.

Delhi Police is interrogating all these since Tuesday morning, while the Crime Branch is also active in this matter. Delhi Police is still looking for Pinky Chaudhary, who was raising slogans.

Ashwini Upadhyay went to the police station last night

Before interrogation at Connaught Place police station last night, Ashwini Upadhyay spoke to Aaj Tak, he said that we have come to tell the police that the organizer of the event was Save India Foundation, they do not know him. Many people had gone there, so he also went. The program lasted for an hour, when the police stopped us, we left.

Ashwini Upadhyay said that the veracity of the video should be investigated, if it is true then action should be taken on it. If the video is fake, then action should be taken in such a situation. Our only fault is that we had gone to celebrate Quit India Day, to object to the English law.

Ashwini Upadhyay said that he has seen the video many times, but people have not been traced. Police should investigate this and take action on it. We have full confidence that there will be no arrest yet, if interrogation is done, we will cooperate fully in the investigation. Ashwini Upadhyay told that his health is not good, but he has reached at the behest of the police.

Lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay said that it is a big irony in this country if innocent people have to go to court and do not get justice from the police station. Those slogans are being raised because the law is substandard. Had the law been stricter and 4 people were sent to jail in the last 20 years, then perhaps such slogans would not have been raised.

Ashwini Upadhyay further targeted and said that a person says that in 20 minutes he will eliminate Hindus from India, he is not sitting in jail today but in the assembly. That’s why people are getting motivated that by doing such a thing they will get fame and become MLA.
