Delhi police arrests Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi shooters for firing at ex-MLA’s Delhi house

New Delhi: On Friday, Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested the shooters of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang on the charge of firing at the former MLA's house. The accused were identified as Akash and Akhil, belonging to Sonipat and Charkhi Dadri in Haryana.

Delhi police arrests Goldy Brar-Lawrence Bishnoi shooters for firing at ex-MLA’s Delhi house

New Delhi: On Friday, Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested the shooters of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi gang on the charge of firing at the former MLA’s house. The accused were identified as Akash and Akhil, belonging to Sonipat and Charkhi Dadri in Haryana.

The shooters were involved in a firing happened in the Punjabi Bagh area of the national capital on December 3. Punjabi Bagh police reached the spot after firing at the house of former MLA Deep Malhotra

According to the details, both had fired shots at the house of former Punjab MLA Deep Malhotra, on the orders of Goldy Brar. Six cartridges of bullets were recovered during the police investigation, which were seized by the police. A forensic team was also called to the spot to investigate. After this, the team also got some evidence from the spot.

During the initial investigation by the police, it was found that 2 had come on foot during the attack and fired at the former MLA’s house and escaped. Recently, Brar had made threat calls and had sent voice notes to the former MLA, demanding money. In Punjab, Brar’s supporters had set ablaze liquor shops owned by the ex-MLA.

The attack was captured in CCTV footage. Giving information from the police, it was said that earlier in the month of October, firing was also done at the premises of former MLA and businessman Deep Malhotra. On Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted multiple raids at around a dozen locations in Haryana and Rajasthan as part of its money laundering probe against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The police had also registered a case against the accused. At the same time, several teams were formed to search for the accused. Bishnoi, currently in jail, is one of the accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The ED action stems from the First Information Report (FIR) and charge sheets filed against Bishnoi and his deputy Brar by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Haryana Police and other state police.
