New Delhi: Notorious gangster Ajay Singroha of Himanshu Bhau gang was killed in an encounter by Delhi Police on Thursday. On Thursday, the Special Cell had received information that Ajay, a shooter of the gangster Himanshu Bhau gang sitting abroad, would come to Kheda Khurd village of Ritoli, District Rohtak, Outer Delhi, resident of Singroha village. Based on the information, the police set a trap. The police tried to stop the accused, but he started firing. The accused was injured in retaliation. Doctors have declared him dead in the hospital.
Shooter Ajay was wanted in a sensational murder attempt at Tilak Nagar police station, Delhi on 06 May 2024 and the murder of a person named Sundar in broad daylight at Gulshan Dhaba, Murthal on 10 March 2024. Where in the barbaric incident of Murthal Dhaba, the incident of criminal Ajay dragging the deceased Gulshan out of the car, then running away and firing bullets was captured on CCTV. Whereas in the Tilak Nagar incident, indiscriminate firing by a criminal for ransom outside a showroom in Saresham, an upper class area of the national capital, amidst the crowd, had created an atmosphere of fear in that area.
Based on the information received by the Special Cell, a trap was set to catch the notorious accused. At around 11.30 pm, the accused was seen in a Honda City vehicle. He was asked by the police party to stop and surrender. On this the accused started firing indiscriminately at the police party and in retaliation there was an encounter between the police and the accused.
In this encounter, accused Ajay Goli was hit by bullets fired by the police and got injured. He was quickly taken to the hospital by PCR vehicle, where the doctor declared him dead. Two pistols and cartridges have been recovered from the criminal. Further investigation process is going on.
