PM Modi Roadshow: BJP is organizing a grand roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. Due to the roadshow, there will be heavy traffic in many areas of Delhi.
New Delhi: Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of PM Modi’s roadshow to be held in the national capital on Monday (January 16). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to organize a roadshow from Patel Chowk to Sansad Marg-Jai Singh Road junction on January 16 from 3 pm. The Delhi Police said in a statement on Sunday (January 15) that the Prime Minister would participate in the BJP’s roadshow. Special traffic arrangements will be made to ensure smooth traffic management in the areas around the roadshow route.
The traffic advisory states that Ashoka Road (Windsor Place to Jai Singh Road GPO both carriageways), Parliament Street, Tolstoy Road (Janpath to Parliament Street), Rafi Marg (Rail Bhavan to Parliament Street), Jantar Mantar Road, Imtiaz Khan Marg And Bangla Sahib lane will remain closed from 2:30 pm to 5 pm on January 16.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also join the roadshow and special traffic arrangements will be in place to ensure smooth traffic management in the vicinity of the roadshow route.
There will be heavy traffic on these routes
Delhi Police further informed that Baba Kharak Singh Road, Outer Circle Connaught Place, Park Street/Shankar Road, Minto Road, Mandir Marg, Barakhamba Road, Panchkuan Road, Raisina Road, Tolstoy Road, Janpath, Ferozshah Road, Rafi Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, DBG Road, Chelmsford Road, Bhai Vir Singh Marg, DDU Marg, Ranjit Singh Flyover, Talkatora Road and Pandit Pant Marg are expected to witness heavy traffic during the roadshow.
Traffic to be diverted
Traffic will be diverted at Gol Dak Khana, Gurudwara Rakab Ganj, Windsor, Rail Bhawan, Outer CC-Parliament Marg Junction, Raisina Road-Jantar Mantar Road Junction, Janpath-Tolstoy Road Junction and Tolstoy Road KG Marg Junction. Delhi Police has advised people to avoid the above roads and areas coming in the roadshow.
BJP’s two-day national executive meeting will be held at NDMC Convention Center on January 16-17. On the first day of the National Executive meeting, there will be a roadshow in honor of PM Modi.
