New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday briefly halted his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ to give way to an ambulance near Apollo Hospital here. Rahul stayed on the road for some time to let the ambulance go. He also asked fellow passengers to give way to the ambulance.
The incident took place near Apollo Hospital in the national capital at around 8.30 am. Under the leadership of Rahul, ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ entered Delhi from Haryana’s Badarpur border in the morning. The yatra will cover a distance of 23 kilometers from the Badarpur border in Delhi and will end near the Red Fort.
During this, it will pass through Ashram Chowk, Nizamuddin, India Gate, ITO, Red Fort and Raj Ghat. The yatra has taken a two-hour halt at Ashram Chowk before proceeding towards the Red Fort.
The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has already covered a distance of about 3,000 kms. It will cover a total of 3,570 km across 12 states before terminating in Jammu and Kashmir at the end of January.
