New Delhi: 3 people have been detained in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh in connection with the robbery of Rs 25 crore jewellery from a jewellery shop in Bhogal area of Delhi. According to a senior police officer, the accused are being questioned.
New Delhi: 3 people have been detained in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh in connection with the robbery of Rs 25 crore jewellery from a jewellery shop in Bhogal area of Delhi. According to a senior police officer, the accused are being questioned.
According to the police, these three people identified – main accused Lokesh Srivastava, Shiva Chandravanshi and another unidentified person. He told that a huge amount of gold has been recovered and this gang has done the same in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh also. A team of Delhi Police is in Chhattisgarh.
Earlier this week, the accused entered the shop, breached the strong room and absconded with jewelery worth over Rs 20 crore and Rs 5 lakh in cash. A shop called Jewelers had several CCTV cameras, but they were damaged around night before Sunday.
The owner closed the shop at around 8 pm on Sunday night and came to know about the incident in the shop room at around 10.30 am on Tuesday morning. The shop is closed on Mondays. In addition to the ornaments in the locker, they also escaped with the jewellery kept on display at the showroom.
