New Delhi: In a sudden turn of events, a 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Delhi’s Madhu Vihar area for resisting four people from robbing him, police said on Saturday. The incident occurred late Friday night, they said. The victim was identified as Narendra.
The deceased has been recognised as Narendra. According to a police official, four individuals approached Narendra and his friend while they were drinking alcohol at the DDA park next to a CNG gas station in Madhu Vihar. They repeatedly stabbed him before stealing his bag and phone.
The official said Narendra was swiftly admitted to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A case under IPC sections 302 (murder), 397 (robbery, or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 392 (punishment for robbery) has been registered at the Madhu Vihar police station. Police said teams have been formed to nab the assailants.
In yet another horrific incident, a man in South Delhi’s Devli Khanpur was killed in an attack by a stray bull on Thursday morning, police said on Friday. The 42-year-old was attacked and trampled on the street by the bull. He has been identified as Subhash Kumar Jha, a loan agent, who lived in the Khanpur area.
