Delhi: Thousands of illegal liquor bottles hidden inside wooden doors seized, 2 arrested

According to the police, a team of special staff of the district was engaged to stop the activity of supplying illegal liquor. Meanwhile, the police got information from the informer that two smugglers are taking liquor bottles from Delhi to Bihar by hiding them in wooden doors after loading them in tempo on Wednesday morning.

New Delhi: Outer North district police have arrested two accused by exposing a gang supplying liquor purchased from Delhi to Bihar by hiding in wooden doors. A tempo, 2112 miniature 90 ml and six wooden doors have been recovered from them. However, by interrogating both the accused, the police is now trying to find out that since when these people were smuggling liquor.

According to the police, a team of special staff of the district was engaged to stop the activity of supplying illegal liquor. Meanwhile, the police got information from the informer that two smugglers are taking liquor bottles from Delhi to Bihar by hiding them in wooden doors after loading them in tempo on Wednesday morning.

Confirming the news, the team stopped a tempo by putting a trap near Janta Flat Sector 25 Rohini, in which drivers Roshan and Sarvjit Singh were sitting. Both were caught by the team. When the tempo was examined, a total of six ply wooden doors were loaded in it, while all the doors were opened with the help of chisel and hammer, then a total of 2112 miniatures of Royal Green Whiskey were found for sale in Punjab.

During interrogation, the accused have told that they have been smuggling illegal liquor in Bihar for a long time. At present, the police is interrogating both the accused.
