Delhi: Three robs 2 men in Narela industrial area, stabs one to death

New Delhi: Three people committed two robberies one after the other in Narela industrial area and during this, two people were stabbed. One of the victims died, while the other is in critical condition. Police have arrested a suspect, who they claim committed the robberies due to financial debt.

New Delhi: Three people committed two robberies one after the other in Narela industrial area and during this, two people were stabbed. One of the victims died, while the other is in critical condition. Police have arrested a suspect, who they claim committed the robberies due to financial debt.

Police said that the deceased was identified as Chandrakant Jha. He was 28-year-old and a resident of Narela. Police received information about the robberies at 9 pm on 16 February. About this incident police, A senior official said Jha was returning from his factory and had Rs 18,000 he had received as salary.

He added that the three people stopped the man and asked him to give money. When he protested, they started stabbing him in the stomach. The second incident happened when Akash, an employee of the same factory, was going home. The accused also robbed his mobile phone.

A police officer said,”They attacked Aakash and forcibly transferred money from his e-wallet and then stabbed him.” He added that two cases were registered under IPC sections of murder, robbery and common intention.

Ravi Kumar Singh, Deputy commissioner of police (outer north) said that the police formed multiple teams for scanning CCTV cameras, conducting technical surveillance and for local intelligence. He also said,”We learned that the accused had transferred money from the victim’s e-wallet. During investigation, we nabbed one suspect.”

According to the information, the accused was identified as Manish, who lives in Punjabi Colony in Narela. The officer said, “Manish confessed to the crime and told us that he committed the robberies along with his associates, Raja and Ajay, who reside in the same Punjabi Colony.”

He told that he had financial debt, so he had planned the robbery. On the day of the incident, the trio were roaming on a motorcycle and saw one of the victims, who was a permanent resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

He was a construction worker. Police are raiding various places in search of the other two accused. They are also scanning the CCTV cameras to find out the routes taken by the accused to escape.

Police have recovered the looted mobile phone, money, knife and the motorcycle used in the crime. Police said that they are also trying to find out if the accused had committed any other crime in the past.
