According to the information, Satyendar Jain, lodged in Tihar Jail, wrote a letter to the Jail Superintendent on 11 May. In which former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain talked about feeling lonely. He had said that at least two to three prisoners should be kept with us.
Jain had also said that the psychiatrist has advised not to remain alone. Jain had also talked about increasing the social circle on behalf of the psychiatrist. After which the Superintendent of Jail No. 7 of Tihar Jail had transferred seven prisoners. Out of which three prisoners were sent to Satyendar Jain’s cell. Questions were being raised regarding this decision of the Jail Superintendent.
When the matter of transfer of prisoners caught fire, the Tihar Jail administration swung into action. After which the three prisoners transferred to Jain’s cell were immediately transferred to their old cell. According to the Tihar Jail Administration, the Superintendent of Jail Number Seven had taken this decision without informing the administration. According to the rules, the jail superintendent cannot take such a decision without informing the jail administration or without permission from the jail administration. For this reason, after sending the prisoners back to their old cell, the jail administration has now sent a show cause notice to the jail superintendent.
