New Delhi: The weather department has forecast that Monday and Tuesday will be partly cloudy. There may be light rain or drizzle at some places. However, hot and humid conditions continued throughout the day in Delhi and NCR on Sunday. There was no change in the weather even till evening.
On Sunday morning, the sun was shining brightly. The maximum temperature was recorded at 40.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.0 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the humidity level in the air in Delhi was 21 to 57 percent. The hottest locality in Delhi was the Sports Complex, where the maximum temperature was 42.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 25.5 degrees Celsius.
The weather department has forecast that Monday is likely to be cloudy. Light rain may occur in Delhi NCR. On the other hand, there is a possibility of getting relief from the heat on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a drop in temperature. The maximum temperature is expected to touch 37 degrees on Friday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expected rainfall with thunderstorm from today to April 20 at many places in Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh. While the weather in eastern UP is generally likely to remain dry. The IMD has predicted light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning over Western Himalayan regions and adjoining plains during the next 4 days.
According to IMD, heavy rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh on 18th. Rain may occur in Himachal Pradesh on 18 and 19 and Uttarakhand on April 19. Along with this, rain may fall at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh today. Hailstorm has been predicted in Himachal Pradesh from 17 to 18 April and in Uttarakhand from 18 to 20 April. Rain is likely to occur in some parts of Maharashtra in the next 4 days.
