New Delhi: In the capital of the country, where the scorching heat is troubling the people on one hand, on the other hand the scarcity of water can also increase the problems of the people. An advisory has been issued by the Delhi Jal Board, in which it has been told that due to low water level in Yamuna, water supply will be disrupted in many areas of Delhi on Friday.
According to the Delhi Jal Board, the areas where water supply will be disrupted on Friday include Civil Lines, areas adjacent to Hindu Rao Hospital, besides Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Paharganj, New / Old Rajendra Nagar, Patel Nagar ( East/West), Baljit Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inderpuri, Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, Prahladpur, Gulabi Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Ramlila Ground, Delhi Gate, Subhash Nagar, Model Town, Moolchand, Jahangirpuri, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Burari there are 50 such areas. In which water supply will be disrupted in the morning and evening on Friday, no accurate information has been given by the Delhi Jal Board about when the water supply will be restored in these areas after Friday.
According to the Delhi Jal Board, the water level in Yamuna has come down to 667.60 feet from the normal 674.50 feet, due to which water treatment is being disrupted at Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla water treatment plants. Water is also being released less in Yamuna from Haryana side, due to which water treatment plants are not able to supply normal water. Due to this, the supply of water in these areas of Delhi will be less on Friday morning and evening. At the same time, not only on Friday but also in the days to come, water supply may be disrupted in many areas of Delhi due to low water level in Yamuna.
