GoFirst Airlines has canceled all its flights on 3rd and 4th May. Airlines have informed DGCA about this.
New Delhi: If you have booked tickets to go somewhere on Go First Airlines on May 3 and 4, then this news is very important for you. You may have to face huge difficulties, as GoFirst has informed DGCA that it has canceled all flights scheduled to fly on 3rd and 4th May. The airline has given a big reason behind this. Airlines say that this decision has been taken due to non-payment of dues of oil companies.
According to the report published in Economic Times, an official of an oil marketing company said that GoFirst is operating on cash and carry mode. That is, airlines have to pay for aviation fuel according to the number of flights they have to fly every day. Because of this, the airlines agree that the vendor may close the business if payment is not made. It seems that GoFirst is also following the same path that Kingfisher once took.
According to the information received from the airlines website, GoFirst currently has a total of 61 aircraft in its fleet, out of which 56 are A320 and 5 are A320 CEO. Airlines were going into losses due to the fall in the number of passengers.
