DGCA slaps Rs 10 lakh fine on Air India for not reporting 2nd mid-air peeing incident on Paris-Delhi flight

Air India Urination Case: DGCA has imposed a fine of ten lakh rupees on Air India for not reporting the incident that happened on 6 December 2022. Air India has been fined for the second time in the last one month.

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Air India for urinating in the blanket of a female passenger on a flight coming from Paris to New Delhi. DGCA says that the incident that took place on 6 December 2022 was not reported, that is why the fine has been imposed.

In Air India’s AI 142 Paris to Delhi flight, a male passenger smoked a cigarette in the washroom and then urinated on the blanket of a female passenger lying on a seat. After this this action has been taken. Air India has been fined for the second time in the last one month.

Explain that on November 26 last year, aviation regulator DGCA imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on Air India and Rs 3 lakh on the director of services during the flight of Air India, in connection with violating several rules during the flight. The license of the pilot-in-charge was also suspended for three months.

What was the matter?
The flight had landed from Paris to Delhi. Airport security was informed that the male passenger was intoxicated and was not following instructions from the cabin crew. He urinated on the blanket of a drunk female passenger. The male passenger was caught by the CRPF in Delhi regarding the entire matter, but the male passenger was released after a compromise was reached between the two passengers.

Let us tell you that in another flight of Air India on November 26 last year, there is an allegation of urinating on an elderly passenger of a male passenger. Regarding this too, according to sources, there was complete information about the CEO including the CEO of Air India.
