The Madhya Pradesh administration has intensified security measures in Chhatarpur for the birthday celebrations of Baba Bageshwar Dham seer Dhirendra Shastri on July 4. This decision follows the tragic Hathras stampede in Uttar Pradesh on July 2, which resulted in the deaths of around 121 people.
Key Arrangements and Responsibilities
CMO Khajuraho and Chhatarpur: Tasked with providing clean drinking water through tankers, mobile toilets, and vehicles for animals. They are also responsible for fire safety arrangements.
Food Safety:
Food and Safety Officers: Assigned to sample food in warehouses and ensure the distribution of safe food items.
District Food and Supply Officers: Ensuring safety arrangements related to gas cylinders.
Health and Medical Services:
CMHO Chhatarpur: Ensuring health system maintenance, smooth ambulance services, oxygen availability, medicines, and medical treatment.
Law and Order
ADM ASP: Overseeing law and order, coordinating with event organizers for seamless arrangements.
SDM and SDOP: Responsible for crowd management, lighting, security, traffic arrangements, and necessary permissions.
Infrastructure and Crowd Control
PWD Department: Arranging barricades around the stage and temple area to manage the crowd effectively.
CEO Janpad Panchayat Raj Nagar: Ensuring venue cleanliness, parking lights, street lights, smooth traffic, and removal of inflammable materials.
Additional Precautions:
Dhirendra Shastri has requested devotees not to attend in large numbers to prevent overcrowding.
