Speaking during his speech at the National Games Sports Conclave along with PV Sindhu, Gagan Narang, and Anju Bobby George, Neeraj stated he experienced a time when he felt all hope was lost after suffering two injuries.
“We believe that all is finished when we get injured. When I was hurt in 2019 before the Worlds, I felt it, but I was able to recover. This year, it happened once more before the CWG. It was a torrid time on both occasions. Athletes are faced with a slew of questions following an injury, including whether or not to continue competing in upcoming tournaments. It depends on how you manage the answer. “I decided to keep going both times,” Neeraj said.
