Mumbai: Salman Khan’s body double Sagar Pandey died of a heart attack on Friday. Sagar was working out in the gym when suddenly he fainted. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari East but doctors declared him brought dead. Sagar Pandey’s age was between 45 and 50. Sagar played the role of body double for Salman in many films. He was called Salman’s lookalike. On the death of Sagar Pandey, now Salman has written an emotional post on his social media page.
Salman has shared a picture with Sagar Pandey. RIP is written on the picture. Along with this, an emoji of joining hands and heartbreak has been made. Salman wrote in the caption- ‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being with me. Sagar Bhai may your soul rest in peace. Thank you #RIP #SagarPandey.’
Sagar Pandey was originally from Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Like Salman, he too did not marry. He came to Mumbai to become an actor. When he did not get any special work in acting, he decided to become a body double. He has five brothers, out of which he was earning the most, so he took care of his family.
Sagar became Salman’s body double for the first time in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. After this he has done other films including ‘Bajrangi Bhai Jaan’, ‘Tubelight’, ‘Dabangg’, ‘Dabangg 2’, ‘Dabangg 3’. In an earlier interview, Sagar had told that he has become a body double in more than 50 films.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan will be next seen as the host of the reality show Bigg Boss 16, which will air from October 1. He will also be seen in the upcoming film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ with Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill and other stars.
The actor’s forthcoming projects also include Kick 2, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif. The film will release next year. Moreover, Salman Khan has announced the second instalment of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ as well.
