Dinesh Karthik, RCB Batting Coach and Mentor: After retiring from the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dinesh Karthik (DK) is going to enter RCB. Dinesh Karthik is now going to be seen in the role of batting coach and mentor instead of wicketkeeper batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore team. Earlier, Karthik has announced his retirement from IPL on June 1.

Dinesh Karthik, RCB Batting Coach and Mentor: After retiring from the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dinesh Karthik is going to enter RCB. Dinesh Karthik is now going to be seen in the role of batting coach and mentor instead of wicketkeeper batsman of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team. Earlier, Karthik has announced his retirement from IPL on June 1.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has announced the new responsibility of Dinesh Karthik on social media platform X. RCB wrote, ‘Welcome our keeper in every sense, Dinesh Karthik, back to RCB in a new avatar. DK will be the batting coach and mentor of the RCB men’s team. You can take the man out of cricket, but not the cricket out of the man! Give them lots of love, 12th Man Army!’

Let us tell you that Dinesh Karthik has been a part of all 17 seasons of IPL from the first season i.e. IPL 2008 to 2024. During this time, Karthik started his IPL journey with Delhi Capitals and he has been a part of a total of 6 franchise teams. He played 257 matches in his IPL career and scored a total of 4842 runs. He remained at 10th position in the list of batsmen who scored the most runs in the tournament.

As a wicketkeeper, Dinesh Karthik is one of the three players to take 100 wickets in IPL. He is the player with second highest number of dismissals (174) after Dhoni (190). Karthik has a total of 37 stumpings in his name in the tournament.
