Udaipur: There is an atmosphere of tension in Udaipur of Rajasthan after the murder of a person in broad daylight on Tuesday. After the murder, Section 144 has been imposed in the whole of Rajasthan for the next one month. At the same time, internet service has also been suspended in the state for the next 24 hours. Along with this, curfew has also been imposed in many nearby police station areas. The deceased youth has been identified as Kanhaiya Lal Teli.
Kanhaiya Lal used to run a tailoring shop in the Dhanmandi area of the city. According to the report, Kanhaiya Lal allegedly used to post in support of BJP leader Nupur Sharma. Because of this, he had received death threats earlier as well.
Internet services shut and section 144 imposed
Internet service has been banned in Rajasthan for 24 hours. Along with this, Section 144 has also been implemented in entire Rajasthan. The section will remain in force for the next one month and there will be a ban on the gathering of the crowd.

Section 144 has also been imposed in Jaipur. After the Udaipur incident, the leave of all policemen in Rajasthan was canceled.
A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) was sent to Udaipur in Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has condemned the incident and appealed to people to maintain peace while assuring strict punishment for those involved in the murder.
Let us tell you that the person who was murdered had sought protection from the police, he was getting constant threats. On this, the CM said that a case was registered against the deceased Kanhaiya Lal regarding social media and he was also arrested by the Dhanmandi police station. After which he came out on bail. Today suddenly some people killed him. This is a very unfortunate incident which should be condemned by all.
In a video clip posted online, one of the assailants said they had beheaded the man and also threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kanhaiyalal had put up a social media post in favour of Nupur Sharma about 10 days back. Since then, people from a particular community were threatening to kill him. He had also filed a police complaint in this matter.
As the video went viral, shopkeepers in local markets downed shutters and staged a protest. Shopkeepers prevented police from taking away the tailor’s body and demanded arrest of the murderers and compensation of Rs 50 lakh and a government job for the victim’s family.
The accused, identified as Gaus Mohammed and Riyaz, residents of Surajpole, have been arrested. Police said the duo was trying to flee on a motorcycle and were wearing helmets to cover their faces, sources reported.
Rahul Gandhi condemned the incident
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has condemned the incident. He said that I am deeply shocked by the heinous murder in Udaipur. Brutalism in the name of religion cannot be tolerated. Those who spread terror due to this cruelty should be punished immediately. Together we all have to defeat hatred. I appeal to all, please maintain peace and brotherhood.

Significantly, the local people demonstrated against the murder of tailor Kanhaiya. The deceased tailor had made several posts on social media in support of Nupur Sharma.
