Assam News: President Draupadi Murmu has taken off in Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft from Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam. The country’s President Draupadi Murmu is on a tour of Assam for the last three days. He took part in many programs during the Assam tour. Many leaders including CM Hemant Viswa Sarma were present at Tezpur air station in this fighter aircraft of the Airforce. Earlier in 2009, Pratibha Patil had flown in a fighter plane.
The Sukhoi Su-30MKI has a length of 72 feet, wingspan of 48.3 feet and height of 20.10 feet. Its weight is 18,400 KG. Sukhoi is powered by Lyulka L-31FP afterburning turbofan engines, which gives it a power of 123 kilonewtons. It flies at a speed of 2120 km per hour. Its combat range is 3000 kilometers. If fuel is found midway, it can go up to 8000 kms. The Sukhoi-30 MKI is a twin-seater multirole fighter jet developed by Russia’s Sukhoi and manufactured by India’s aerospace giant Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
Sukhoi-30MKI can fly up to a maximum height of 57 thousand feet. Sukhoi can go up to 59 thousand feet in a minute. The Sukhoi-30MKI is fitted with a single 30mm Grizhev-Shipunov autocannon. Which fires 150 rounds in a minute. Enemy aircraft, drones or helicopters cannot escape. It has 12 hard points. That is, the place where the weapon is placed. 4 types of rockets can be installed in it. Four types of missiles and 10 types of bombs can be used.
