New Delhi: In the series of development in India, Indian navy has successfully test-fired the Surface-to-Air Missal (VL-SRSAM) while increasing its military strength. The Indian Defense Development Research and Development Organization (DRDO) today successfully test-fired this example from an Indian Navy ship off the coast of Chandipur, Odisha. This example is capable of destroying any enemy air attack.

This test of India is undoubtedly going to defeat the spirits of the enemies. In the last few years, India has increased the consignment of state-of-the-art weapons in its military strength. India is constantly taking all possible steps to strengthen its military strength. Let us tell you that India’s purpose behind launching the VL-SRSAM missile is to deploy warships of the Indian Navy.

What is VL-SRSAM missile system?
Let us tell you that the VL-SRSAM missile has been made jointly by DRDO and Bharat Dynamics Limited. Its name is Vertical Launch-Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM). Whose weight is 154 kg and it is about 12.6 feet long. The VL-SRSAM missile has a range of 25 to 30 km. It can go up to a height of 12 km. This missile is capable of targeting and destroying enemy ships and missiles flying at low altitude. The most important thing about this missile is its speed, accuracy and firepower, which is so lethal that it does not even catch the radar. Apart from this, this missile is capable of flying very close to the surface of the sea.

Explain that in case of emergency, the VL-SRSAM missile can be fired from any warship. Its specialty is that it can roam anywhere in 360 degrees and wreak havoc on enemies. Apart from this, 22 kg warhead i.e. explosive can be placed in the topmost part of the VL-SRSAM missile. Which helps in breaking the target with a bang at the time of attack.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also congratulated DRDO, the Indian Navy and the industry for the successful flight test and stated that the system added armour that will further enhance the defence capability of Indian Naval Ships against aerial threats.
