New Delhi: The brawl over the screening of a BBC documentary on PM Modi has been increasing with every passing day. The matter has escalated after the clashes at JNU and other institutions between the two factions.
Delhi University students were not behind and watched the documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on mobiles despite the power cuts, and in the meantime, they raised “azaadi’ slogans while watching it.
According to the report, the slogans were against the university administration for stopping the screening of the documentary. It was Left Wing vs Right Wing, and students of some sections also raised slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram” in the protest of leftists.
After the power cut at Ambedkar College of Delhi University, leftist student organisations such as SFI applied alternative methods for the BBC documentary screening.
QR codes were being distributed to students so that they could watch the documentary on their mobile phones.
Ahead of the screening, Nirmal Gate was locked by the university administration, which deployed its security personnel to stop any untoward incident.
No student or employee was able to enter without an ID card. Some Delhi Police personnel were also deployed at the gate.
