Srinagar: Amarnath Yatra has been stopped once again. The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended between Jammu and Srinagar due to landslides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Officials said that a landslide occurred at T2 Marog Ramban. Heavy debris is lying on the road, due to which the Jammu-Srinagar NHW has been blocked.

Officials said that a landslide occurred at T2 Marog Ramban. Heavy debris is lying on the road, due to which the Jammu-Srinagar NHW has been blocked. People are advised not to travel on NH-44 without confirmation from the traffic control unit.
A batch of 451 pilgrims was on Tuesday flagged off from the Jammu base camp for the Kashmir Valley amid tight security for the onward journey to the Amarnath cave shrine.
The smallest ever batch, in a convoy of 18 vehicles, left Bhagwati Nagar base camp for base camps in Pahalgam and Baltal between 3.30 am and 3.45 am, officials said.
Officials said 303 pilgrims are traveling through the traditional 48-km-long Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district. These include 26 women and 20 saints. A total of 148 devotees are going towards the temple through the 14 km long Baltal road in Ganderbal district. There are 25 women in this group.
So far, over 4.23 lakh devotees have visited the temple situated at an altitude of 3,880 meters during the 62-day annual yatra that began on July 1. This journey will end on 31 August.
