Chennai: The shooting of Sita Ramam, the love story movie, is taking place in the beautiful valley of Kashmir under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. The entire team of the movie flew off to the snowy mountains of the valley and got a different kind of experience due to its eye-catching and never-ending beauty.
Shooting of the film occurred in places like Thajwass Glacier, Dal Lake, Jalali House, Rockstar House, and other beautiful locations in Kashmir. After spending about a month in the lap of the valley, actor Duqluer Salmaan, who visited Kashmir for the first time, remained speechless regarding its environment and beauty. He said it felt like he was stepping into a photograph or a painting during the shooting in the valley. The film Sita Ramam is expected to hit the silver screens on August 5.
Even the director of the film, Hanu Raghavapudi, who shot the film at a high-altitude place, said in an official statement, “Kashmir is rightly dubbed as the paradise on earth and has been the best host.” Sharing his experience, the local people were ready to assist every time; they were kind, helpful, and welcoming. We did shooting during the beginning of the 2nd phase lockdown.
In spite of the COVID restrictions, the police and government permitted us to go for shooting and complete it as per the schedule, but maintained all the COVID protocols. We finished up shooting in the given time period. We had gotten a chance to enjoy some local food and experience a new culture.
Shooting of films has intensified in Kashmir. Recently, the officials have given permission to 130 more film producers and production banners to carry out their filmmaking.
The other main characters in the film are Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna. The teaser of the film has received a huge response, with more than 4.2 million views on youTube. Dulquer will be seen as Lieutenant Ram in the film, an orphan serving the nation. Mrunal Thakur has played the role of Sita Mahalakshmi, Dulquer’s love interest. The film is expected to be released in three languages-Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil-on August 5, 2022.
