What’s in the trailer?
The film’s trailer introduces Shah Rukh’s character, Hardy, who stands on a moving train, setting the scene in the village of Laltu in 1995. The storyline unfolds with Hardy’s friends, including Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal) and Mannu (Taapsee Pannu), highlighting their dreams of moving abroad and overcoming language barriers. Boman Irani plays their English teacher, promising to train them for a chance to live abroad. The characters risk crossing the border, facing challenges, and even wielding a gun to defend themselves.
The trailer’s significant revelation showcases Shah Rukh in an older avatar, participating in a race 25 years later. This marks his second role as an old man after Vikram Rathore in Atlee’s “Jawan” earlier this year.
“Dunki” is scheduled for release on December 21, setting the stage for a box office clash with Prabhas’ “Salaar.
