Earthquake: Magnitude of 5.2 Earthquake hits Myanmar, no casualty reported

A powerful Earthquake tremors were felt in Burma, Myanmar on Friday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale. The earth shook at 3:52 am today in Burma, Myanmar.

New Delhi: A powerful Earthquake tremors were felt in Burma, Myanmar on Friday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale. The earth shook at 3:52 am today in Burma, Myanmar.

According to the information, the epicenter of the earthquake was 162 km from Burma. The depth of this earthquake was 140 km below the ground. The tremors of the earthquake were strong but there is no news of any kind of damage so far. The epicentre was monitored at 23.09 degrees north latitude and 95.01 degrees east longitude.

The National Center for Seismology tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.2, Occurred on 30-09-2022, 03:52:37 IST, Lat: 23.09 & Long: 95.01, Depth: 140 Km ,Location: 162 km NW of Burma, Myanmar.”

At the same time, The National Center for Seismology reported that a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck the South Sandwich Islands at around 8:33 am on Thursday. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km below the ground. However, even in that earthquake, there was no talk of loss of life or property.

Earlier on September 24, strong tremors of earthquake were felt in the northern province of Akeh in Indonesia. However, no damage was reported from this. Saturday’s quake measured 6.2 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was 49 kilometers below the surface, 40 kilometers south-southwest of the coastal city of Miulaboh in Akeh province, the US Geological Survey said.
