Earthquake of 3.6 magnitude hits Jammu-Kashmir, no casualty reported

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake was recorded 97 km east of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale has been measured at 3.6.

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake was recorded 97 km east of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale has been measured at 3.6.

According to the information, the earthquake occurred at 5.15 am and there is no information about any casualty in it.

Earlier on February 13, earthquake tremors were felt in the early morning in the state of Sikkim. According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors occurred at Yuksom in Sikkim at 4.15 am. Its intensity was recorded at 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale.

Earlier on February 11, the earth shook in Surat of Gujarat. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 3.8 on the Richter scale. However, there was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake. An official of the Seismological Research Institute (ISR) had told that the intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 3.8.

At the same time, an official of the District Disaster Management had said that the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 5.2 km. Its center was in the Arabian Sea. There was no loss of property or life due to the earthquake.
