Earthquake of 4.0 magnitude jolts Tibet’s Xizang, no casualty reported

New Delhi: On Sunday, An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hits Tibet's Xizang , the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) gave thisinformation. However, there has been no news of loss of life or property yet.

New Delhi: On Sunday, An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hits Tibet’s Xizang , the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) gave thisinformation. However, there has been no news of loss of life or property yet.

According to the National Seismology Centre, the earthquake occurred at 5.40 am. The intensity of the earthquake was 4.0 and its depth was recorded to be at 10 km.

The NCS tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.0, Occurred on 10-09-2023, 05:40:55 IST, Lat: 30.16 & Long: 94.72, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: Xizang.”

Earlier, so far 2,012 people have died in the devastating earthquake in Morocco on Friday night, while 2,059 people are injured. The death toll is expected to increase further.

The UNESCO protected World Heritage Monument located in Marrakesh city has been most affected by this earthquake. This is the most destructive earthquake since 1960.
