According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were felt around 5:07 am. The National Center for Seismology has not confirmed any loss of life or property from the earthquake.
At the same time, three tremors of earthquake were felt within 12 hours on Sunday-Monday night in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. The first tremor was felt at 12.45 in Siror forest of Bhatwari block. The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.5. The second blow also came a little later. At the same time, the third shock came at around 10.10 am. Its intensity was measured at 1.8 on the reactor scale. The epicenter of the earthquake has been described as the northern region of Uttarkashi.
After feeling three tremors one after the other, people also came in panic. Anyway, the area of Uttarkashi falls in India’s seismic zone ‘V Zone’ (maximum risk). In such a situation, after the tremors of the earthquake, people came out of their homes.
It is a matter of relief that these tremors of the earthquake have not caused any kind of damage. According to media reports, 12 earthquake tremors have been felt in Uttarakhand in the last two months.
