Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude hits jolts Nepal’s Nuwakot, no casualties reported

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors were felt in Nuwakot district of Nepal early this morning. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at 5:26 am, was measured at 5.3 on the Richter scale. There is currently no report of any damage due to the earthquake.

Earlier, tremors of earthquake were felt in Nepal’s Kathmandu on Sunday morning i.e. on 31st July, whose intensity was given as 5.5 and its center was around Kathmandu. The effect of this earthquake which occurred on Sunday was also seen in many districts of Bihar. Due to this earthquake in the Terai region of Nepal, earthquake tremors were also felt in many districts of North Bihar.

Apart from this, on August 5, earthquake tremors were felt in Afghanistan. The magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred at around 12:38 on Thursday-Friday night, was reported as 4.9. It is a matter of relief that there was no damage of any kind in it. According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicenter of the quake was 93 south-southeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan, at a depth of 150 km. Its intensity was 4.9 on the Richter scale. There were earthquake tremors in Nepal even 6 days before 31 July. According to the US Geological Survey, this earthquake occurred in Nagerkot, Nepal. The earthquake was of magnitude 4.1, 21 km northeast of Nagarkot. However, there was no loss of life due to this tremor. But this time there is an earthquake of magnitude 5.5, which is more deadly than last time.
