Earthquake tremors felt in Meghalaya’ Tura, magnitude 3.4 on the Richter scale

Shillong: Earthquake tremors were felt in Meghalaya in the early hours of Thursday. According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt 37 km east-northeast of Tura in the state at around 03.46 am today.

Shillong: Earthquake tremors were felt in Meghalaya in the early hours of Thursday. According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt 37km east-northeast of Tura in the state at around 03.46 am today.

According to NCS, the The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 3.4 on the Richter scale and the depth was 5 km below the ground.

The National Center for Seismology tweeted, “An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred 37km East-North-East of Tura, Meghalaya at around 03:46am today. The depth of the earthquake was 5 km below the ground.”

Yesterday, earthquake tremors were felt in Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh. The National Center for Seismology had told that earthquake tremors were felt at 7.01 am on Wednesday morning 58km north-west-north of Basar in Arunachal Pradesh, whose intensity was measured at 3.8 on the Richter scale and the depth was 10 from the ground. At the same time, earthquake tremors were also felt in Nashik, Maharashtra in the early hours of yesterday.
