However, earthquake tremors in Delhi-NCR were quite mild. No loss of life or property has been reported anywhere.
Earlier on Wednesday at 1.30 pm, earthquake tremors were felt in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.4. The epicenter of the earthquake was 143 km from Pithoragarh and was within 10 km of the ground.

The tremors in Delhi-NCR came at a time when earthquakes have wreaked havoc in Turkey and Syria this month. A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria on February 6. More than 46000 people have died in both the countries so far. More than 2 million apartments were destroyed by the earthquake in Turkey alone. The epicenter of the earthquake was on the Turkey-Syria border. In such a situation, Syria was also devastated by the earthquake. Thousands of people are still missing.
