Amidst various opposition party leaders raising their concern over the release of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Election Commission imposed a ban on the release of PM Modi’s biopic until the announcement of the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
The makers of the film initially announced the release of the movie on 12th April, 2019 but as soon as the release date of the movie was announced, opposition started raising questions against the film calling it a BJP pro movie and asked the Election Commission to take proper action against the release date of the film.
Finally after so many debates and discussion regarding the same, EC today announced that the movie cannot release until and unless the elections results are out.
Earlier than this, Vivek Oberoi was also seen debating over the same in various news channels and asked the opposition to not politicize the movie. He also said that Congress President Rahul Gandhi will love the film.
