Eknath Shinde-led govt’s big move towards rising inflation; Fuel prices cut in Maharashtra | Know latest rates here

Mumbai: Eknath Shinde-led govt’s big move towards soaring inflation, newly appointed CM Eknath Shinde took a big decision on Thursday to cut the price of petrol and diesel. In Maharashtra, the price of petrol has been cut by Rs 5 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 3 per liter. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that after discussion with the officials, our government has taken the decision to reduce the prices of petrol by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 3 per liter today.

On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the government of Shiv Sena and BJP has taken this decision for the welfare of the people. Apart from this, Devendra Fadnavis tweeted that it is a pleasure to announce that the new government under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknathrao Shinde has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel by ₹ 5 / liter and ₹ 3 / liter respectively.

In the second tweet, he said, ‘This is our step towards the appeal made by the honorable PM, which is for the common citizens. The state will bear the burden of ₹6000 crore for this decision. According to media reports, petrol is currently being sold in Mumbai for Rs 111.35 and diesel at Rs 97.28 per liter. After this big cut, petrol will get Rs 106.35 and diesel Rs 97.28 per liter.

After the reduction, the price of petrol in Mumbai will now come down from Rs 111.35 to Rs 106.35 per liter. Whereas, the price of diesel will be reduced from Rs 97.28 to Rs 94.28. Along with this, many decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the Maharashtra government will give pension to all those who went to jail during the 1975 Emergency. Fadnavis said that this decision was taken in 2018, but the previous government had called it off.

Petrol, Diesel Price Cut: Check New Rates
Following the price cut, Mumbaikars will have to pay Rs 106.35 per litre for petrol and Rs 94.28 per litre for diesel. In Pune, petrol is being sold at Rs 105.88 per litre, while diesel will be priced at Rs 92.37 for one litre. The price of one litre of petrol and diesel in Thane is Rs 106.49 and Rs 94.42 per litre respectively.
