Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been leading a gigantic delegation of 200 members to the Assam capital today, November 26, and is ready to pray at the noted Kamakhya Devi temple to thank the goddess for her blessings. Eknath Shinde and other Shiv Sena MLAs were in Assam at the time of the rebellion against the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena.
According to reports, Shinde will fly from Mumbai to Guwahati on a speE. cial flight with 40 MLAs and MPs. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to accompany the chief minister on this trip.
It is expected that Mr Shinde will visit the temple around 2 pm. They will stay at the Radisson Blu and return to Mumbai after breakfast the next morning.
During the rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray in June, while Eknath Shinde and other rebel MLAs were camping in Guwahati, Shinde paid a visit to the well-known temple along with his MLAs.
“It is our Hindu custom that we pray to God that we will visit again,” he said.
