Elon Musk, who has recently joined the board of directors of Twitetr Inc, announced three new features on Sunday that would be available solely to Twitter Blue members.
Twitter Blue is a premium version of Twitter that requires a monthly membership ($3/month) to have access to the microblogging site’s premium features.
Those who join up for Twitter Blue, according to billionaire Musk, will receive an authentication mark. Furthermore, a person will be able to edit tweets in less 20 seconds. According to Musk, Twitter Blue will not display any advertisements to the user.

On April 5, Twitter announced Musk’s appointment to its board of directors, after the world’s richest person acquired a 9.2 percent interest in the social media company. On that day, Musk tweeted, “looking forward to working” with the board “to make significant improvements to Twitter in the coming months”.
Twitter confirmed the next day, April 6, that it is working on a means for users to amend their 280-character tweets.
The functionality will be tested in the next months under Twitter Blue, the social media platform’s premium subscription. It said the test would help it “learn what works, what doesn’t, and what’s possible”. So it may be a while before most Twitter users get to use it if they ever do.
Twitter blue is presently available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Twitter Blue is available in these territories as an in-app purchase on Twitter for iOS and Android, as well as through our payment partner Stripe on twitter.com.
