Billionaire and an intellectual mind, Elon Musk, is the richest man in the world. Tesla CEO Musk has changed the electronic vehicles market and is making inroads in space exploration with SpaceX. With all this unimaginable success and money the billionaire is actually afraid of somethings in his life. In an interview with Mathias Döpfner, the 50-year-old said that there are three things that he fears: religious extremism, a declining birthrate and artificial intelligence going wrong.
According to a report, Musk said that the declining birthrate might just be the “biggest threat to the future of human civilisation. Elaborating on the ‘threat’, Musk said, “I’m really worried about this birthrate thing. That’s been troubling me for many years, because I just don’t see it turning around. Every year it’s worse. And I drive my friends crazy with this.”
Though he did talked in detail about declining birthrate, he didn’t elaborate on artificial intelligence going wrong, or for that matter, religious extremism. Musk has been extremely vocal on Twitter about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. He has called out Russian premier Vladimir Putin as well as said that it it is important to do something serious, “We cannot let Putin take over Ukraine. This is crazy,” he added.
Some might be afraid of death but Musk said that he is not really afraid of death. “I certainly would like to maintain health for a longer period of time. But I am not afraid of dying. I think it would come as a relief,” he said in the interview.
Sharing his thoughts on happiness, the Tesla CEO said, “For one to be fully happy, I think you have to be happy at work and happy in love. So, I suppose I’m medium happy”.
