San Francisco: Billionaire Elon Musk announced late Thursday that he was relieved of his post as CEO of Twitter. Twitter’s new CEO will be a woman, chosen by Elon Musk. However, Musk has not announced the name of the new CEO. The new CEO will join the company in the next 6 weeks.

Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday that he is pleased to announce that he has chosen Twitter’s new CEO. She will take over her responsibility in six weeks. He wrote, I will resign from the post of CEO. Will now serve as executive chairman and chief technology officer of Twitter.
Even after the new CEO takes over, Elon Musk will still make the decisions. Musk tweeted that he would remain Twitter’s executive chairman and chief technology officer. The latter will also oversee products and software. Musk stated early on that he did not plan to remain at the helm of Twitter and that he had plans to reduce his time commitment.
